Letter from our Chief Officer regarding the continuation of services at Stepping Stones NI.

Dear Trainee / Client and Parent / Carer of Stepping Stones NI

Stepping Stones NI update as we approach Christmas

I hope you and your family are well and looking forward to this festive time of year.

Certainly 2020 has been a time in our lives like no other. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact us in so many aspects of daily life.  Despite the many challenges we are all facing every day I wanted to write to you this week to assure you that Stepping Stones NI continues to put our ‘people’ at the centre of our decision making about services due to increased COVID-19 restrictions in Northern Ireland at this time.

Stepping Stones NI wants the very best for everyone who access its services. During the continuing changing environment of the pandemic we will endeavour to keep our services up and running across the organisation in line with NI Executive Guidelines.

I know that our trainees and clients have enjoyed being back in training and participating in their social enterprises and youth service since September.  At this time, with the changing restrictions coming into effect on Friday, I am happy to share with you that there will be no changes to service delivery, our services will remain open.

Our number one priority will off course be to keep our employees, trainees and clients safe during the pandemic adhering to government guidelines and I am incredibly proud of our team who work so hard to support and keep each other safe.

During this second surge I off course understand that it continues to be a very anxious time for us all especially for those with underlying health conditions. With this in mind, I completely understand if trainees or clients choose to stay at home to protect your family prior to Christmas day itself.

We are all in this together and our team are here to support and assist in any way we can, so please I would encourage you to reach out at any time.

In the meantime, we are all looking forward to the festive season and although very different this year it wont stop us having Fun and spreading Christmas cheer.

Stay healthy and safe and thank you for your continued support and words of encouragement.

I wish you all continued good health as we approach the festive season.

Best regards

Paula Jennings
