Cancer Focus NI Keeping Well Van Visits Stepping Stones NI for Staff Health Checks

Today we were pleased to welcome the Cancer Focus Northern Ireland Health Keeping Well Van to Navigation House, offering our staff free and confidential health checks throughout the day.

Stepping Stones NI staff were invited on board for a short appointment with one of the Cancer Focus nurses, who carried out a range of simple health tests and provided personalised advice on healthy living. The initiative is aimed at supporting early detection of health issues and encouraging small, manageable lifestyle changes that can make a big difference over time.

Each check took around 15 minutes and included the following:

  • Blood pressure and pulse check

  • Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement

  • Carbon monoxide breath test (for smokers or ex-smokers)

  • Body composition analysis

  • Lifestyle and wellbeing advice tailored to the individual

At Stepping Stones NI, we’re committed to creating a workplace culture that supports health and wellbeing. Opportunities like this not only give staff easy access to important health information, but also reinforce the importance of taking time to look after themselves.

Staff shared positive feedback about how informative and accessible the service was, and many left feeling motivated to make small changes that will have a long-term impact.

We would like to thank the team from Cancer Focus Northern Ireland for visiting us today and delivering such a valuable service. We look forward to working with them again in future.
