The academy provided participants with essential skills and training, including:

• Manual Handling Level 2

• Health & Safety Level 2

• Interview Preparation

• A Guaranteed Interview with DFDS

We are thrilled to report that 100% of participants who interviewed secured paid employment, marking another milestone in our mission to create inclusive workforces across Northern Ireland.

One of our standout participants, Brodie, impressed the team throughout the programme. He actively engaged with the training, asked insightful questions about working at DFDS, and demonstrated determination during his interview. His Employment Officer, Ashley, said:

“Brodie was a great candidate in the academy – he engaged with the Health & Safety and Manual Handling training and took every opportunity to ask Jonathan and Catherine questions about working for DFDS. Whilst Brodie was nervous for his interview, I knew he would do great and his true character would shine through.
