Over the past two years at Stepping Stones NI, I’ve grown so much. When I started, I wasn’t sure I could work in a busy café or build the skills needed for paid employment.

Now, I work at The Gatelodge Café taking orders, serving customers, handling payments, and preparing for breakfast and lunch service. I also make barista-style coffees and have gained my WorldHost qualification and Foundation Barista training.

The best part for me is the people. From day one, it felt like a family, and I’ve made friends who support me.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited about what’s next.
