Mayor Alderman Amanda Grehan Visits Stepping Stones NI During Learning Disability Week
We were honoured to welcome the new Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Alderman Amanda Grehan, to Stepping Stones NI as part of our Learning Disability Week celebrations.
During Mayor Grehan’s visit to our Courtyard Café, she met some of our inspiring trainees and heard first-hand about their journeys, talents and achievements. The visit highlighted the importance of inclusion, self-expression, and recognising the unique talents of individuals with learning disabilities.
As a special thank-you, our trainees presented the Mayor with a thoughtful, handmade gift, which she was delighted to accept and has pledged to proudly display in the Mayor’s Parlour as a symbol of the creativity and spirit of everyone at Stepping Stones NI.
We’re proud to support the Mayor’s theme this year “Inclusivity for disabilities, a city that sees everyone” – and we’re excited to work together to help build a more inclusive and supportive community for all.
Mayor Grehan’s visit was a powerful reminder of what Learning Disability Week is all about.
