Like many people my age, I wasn’t sure what the future would look like for me. I wanted to work and be independent, but I needed support to build confidence.

At The Gatelodge Café, I work front of house taking orders, serving customers, and handling payments. With support from Stepping Stones NI, I’ve achieved my NVQ Level 2 in Food and Beverage Service and my WorldHost qualification.

Being here has helped me grow in confidence, make friends, and feel proud of what I can do.

I now feel ready to take the next step towards paid employment.
